Join me on an exhilarating journey to the Colombian Jungle as we fly onboard Aerosucre’s 44-year-old B737-200. Despite the airline’s history of accidents and incidents, we embark on this unique experience from Bogota to the remote town of Mitu, where there are no roads accessible.
As we board the vintage B737-200, we witness the technicians working on the overhead panel and the loading of various cargo. Captain Cesar and FO Ramiro provide us with a briefing before we take off from the high elevation of Bogota. The manual flying of the aircraft by the pilot adds an extra layer of excitement to the flight.
After a scenic 40-minute journey, we arrive in Mitu, where we explore the local area and indulge in some traditional BBQ food. We witness the offloading and reloading of cargo, including two cars, before heading back to Bogota. On the return journey, we encounter a false engine reverser deployment, adding an unexpected twist to our adventure.
Flying on the 44-year-old Aerosucre Boeing 737-200 proves to be a truly unforgettable experience, offering a glimpse into the world of cargo aviation in the Colombian Jungle. Don’t miss out on this thrilling and unique flight experience!
