Ένα από τα καλύτερα live που γράφτηκαν ποτέ με τον εκλιπόντα να "ζωγραφίζει" ηχητικά
Best shot video of RIP Dickey and Duane playing together
Very good!
Thanks
The group who does me take another way to play guitar ! RIP Dickey …
Rip Dickey Betts—one of the best of the best.
this isnt live at Fillmore ass**
2 lead guitars, 2 drummers. Real musicians. RIP Dickey. Jamming in heaven with Gregg and Duane.
This video is a mess. It shows Dickey playing his gold top at the onset then later playing his SG. The notes that is shows Duane playing are not accurate to the notes of the sound. It was clearly edited and a bad edit job!
NYE 1973 Cow Palace Best concert ever…Charlie Daniels. Marshall Tucker. Then Garcia and other Dead members jammed with ABB at midnight!
A guy in the dormitory at the University of New Hampshire played this in the spring of 1979 and I was forever turned on to the Allman Brothers.
This is the studio recording.
RIP Dickey…You were one of the best…

The GREATEST instrument in the world is the slide guitar… And nobody ever did it better than Duane!!!
But hey, I'm a blues fan.😂

One of the greatest guitarists that ever Lived. Maybe the greatest in history absolutely the greatest slide guitarist in history
As of
this RIPS
Duane with that glass pill bottle on his finger. Greg said he took him horseback riding and D fell off the horse and hurt his shoulder. D was pissed and wouldn’t talk to him. Greg left a bottle of pills at his door and a little bit later D called him to come hear what he did with the pill bottle🤯 Greg still has the pill bottle. D dumped the pills out. RIL Duane thank you for the great music!
Back in the day, we thought stuff like this would just go on forever. Took it for granted. What happened???
Decent cover…..sense of urgency the all too familiar story generates……
When these dudes’ music erupted outta’ radios back in a day…..wooohooooo…….another great R&R “style”……so many sound worlds out there, to take a ride on
Dickey is grand. He's so damn great. But Duane is calling the hogs. He's frantic. I really don't think we'll have anything like Duane again. Maybe Derek. But Duane has his own thing. I hear his picking and smell gasoline and second-hand smoke. He's in another strata.
Wow how cool ., A bunch of hippy Southern boys playin the hell out of the blues for a bunch of northern college educated kids , that dont happen no more think about it . God what a great band !!
Great band
Temazo uno de tantos de los almann brother fastastico de chile soy
Awesome
best Mf'ing white band in the USA
Amazing how songs bring back vivid memories even of the distant past. My 1st year of college in mid 70s and my roommate, addicted to the Allman Brothers band, then myself as well, would be spinning pizza dough with his fingers listening to this song. Fast forward to 2024 and this song still makes me want Pizza.
HEY now – – – if you gotta be somewhere, where you aren't at the moment – this song is the BEST motivation. I can say that fer' sure…!!
Rock on, with the almost vanished classic bands, Lynard Skynard- original members extinct ..
The Doors, only Robbie Krieger & John Densmore with us in reality now. The Beatles- Paul & Ringo are with us for now…..
So many have passed into that great beyond. RIP Jimi Hendrix, SR Vaughn, BB King and whole lot more..
Ohhhh, tribute to A-Bros bassist, great friend of Duane Allman , Berry Oakley who died one year to the day after Duane Allman in a motorcycle accidental death event…
[Around the time of the first album's release, the bands' sound was being defined on the road as they would play long jams and were an instant draw. Their next album released in 1970, Idlewild South, also got great reviews and sold better. A stronger album than the debut, it also contained a few more soon to be concert favorites, leading the way with the songs "Midnight Rider" and "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed". 1971's early summer release of the double album Live At The Fillmore East, would turn out to be considered one of rocks best ever live albums. It highlighted the great guitar interplay between Duane and Betts, also some great slide guitar by Duane and powerful vocals from his brother Gregg. Included on the album was an extended version of "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" and two twenty minutes jams, the cover tune "You Don't Leave Me" and "Whipping Post" which timed out just short of 23 minutes.
Unfortunately with the band at its peak, just three months after Fillmore East was issued, tragedy struck on October 29 1971. Duane was badly injured in a motorcycle accident with a truck. He refused any treatment and returned to his home where he died a couple of hours later. The band was working on their next album when the accident occurred and finished it up as a five piece band with Betts taking over the rest of the lead guitar parts.]
