The 2024 Oscar nominations are finally (almost!) here.
The nominees for the 96th annual Academy Awards will be announced Tuesday, January 23 by actors Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid in a livestream starting at 5:30 a.m. PST / 8:30 a.m. EST.
All 23 Oscar categories will be unveiled during the live announcement from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater, with a global livestream available on Oscar.com, Oscars.org, and the Academy’s digital platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook).
Additionally, New York and Los Angeles Switch pool ports and satellite downlink feed will showcase the presentation, which will be nationally broadcast and available to stream on news programs, including ABC’s “Good Morning America,” “ABC News Live,” and Disney+. Fans can follow along on social media with hashtags #OscarNoms and #Oscars2024.
The 2024 Academy Awards will take place Sunday, March 10 and be broadcast live on ABC.
Thus far, “Oppenheimer” and “Barbie” are among the frontrunners for nominations, with IndieWire’s awards reporters Anne Thompson and Marcus Jones predicting both blockbusters be Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Director contenders, in addition to their respective acting category recognitions.
