Sod the time pressures. All of your videos are beyond the best; the production values, your emotions, showing the good the bad and the 'oh 5#/+'. I think this chapter of your lives is going to be the best ever and I can't wait to travel it with you. I thought the demo of the gyro stab was awesome, such a great and yet simple idea on a single hull boat.
Oh, and welcome to England, whenever you get here…
42:03 you'll get there in time. You now have an explorer-type motor ship (I heard somewhere the US Navy distinguishes ships and boats by the way they lean in a turn. A ship leans towards the outside, a boat towards the inside. Umbra leans out), you can mostly ignore the weather. You don't have to wait for favorable winds, unless there's a gale blowing at the moment you just set a course (or a route) and go. Even if you trundle along at 5 knots, you can get to just about anywhere in the British Islands within a week. Shetland might be a stretch, but otherwise… checks nope, Shetland would be ~5 days. The 6.75 days I came up with would be Isle of Islay, almost 1500 km from the Netherlands, on the other side of England…
Love this 45 min long YT vid! More plz 🙂 Every week! @gonewiththewynns
It will be interesting to see how the gyro does with bigger swells when you get out on the North Sea.
OMG…where were you two 15 years ago when I had a sailboat and dropped way too many pieces of hardware off the boat's bow, because I wasn't smart enough to figure out that a jury-rigged umbrella would catch small items that I would inevitably send to the bottom of our slip!!! 😂🤯🤣
Are you planning to go to Sneek, I really would like to see you’re beautiful ship in my hometown!
Please wear a life jacket on the dock and in a Lock!!!
with all your years at this and expensive projects a small socket set would be wise.
What a joy to see you on the water, travelling again. Your commitment to getting back there after the trials and tribulations following the sale of Curiosity 1 is to be respected. Can't wait for where you take me next.
Congrats on leaving the dock! I can imagine both nervous and excited. Jason, everyone makes mistakes, thank God yours was fixable. Fair winds!
So happy for you guys 🎉
I don't even have a boat and I want a gyro.
Yeah! Whoopee! 🎉🎉 off we go 🥳🥳🥳
Sick boat! Love it. You deserve it.
That huge chain is only as strong as its weakest link I waited my entire life to be able to say that, Thank You
You know, I was recently reminded… the hard way, by my own doing, that when you flip a house (largely by yourself) you hit this point where you can see the end and you think: "2 more weeks!". Unfortunately, reality starts setting in 2 weeks later, when largely everything IS done, and you spend the next 6 weeks in the details… 🤣😪🤷♂
No worries. I have really enjoyed watching you guys get the boat ready. Thank you. Another great video
Congrats! You're underway! The wait was/will be worth it. Safe travels!
happy and safe travels.
Woohoo! On the move!!! Delays; must be synonymous for boating or 'cruising'..As they say: Best laid plans of mice and men…LOL…So eager to see more adventures! Stay safe! 🙂
So excited for you guys, I can’t wait to take the journey with you!
Ahoy Matey Could u put on your pirot outfits for one of these videos?😮😮😮😮
Good job! Lovely to see the life pivots, set backs, go forwards, sometimes sideways but also the enduring positivity and ingenuity from you guys. 👏🏻
Wow
Time for a new cat! Meow!
Bon Voyage!
The umbrella was brilliant
23:40, the sarcastic Trump humor is much appreciated!
New here, is she the only skipper or is her partner qualified as well?
Congratulations beautiful yachting ahead❤️🙏
Umbrella – brilliant. Congrats on "moving on"
WOW, That’s Quick Stabilization.
Nikki, you have a great work space. You can rest the left side of your head.
I am adding a lot of performance parts to my car. I totally understand what you are saying. Everything goes well but not without a few hiccups. But they are worth it once you accept the time penalty. It is just part of any build and yours is so much more complicated. Love watching you two get through these challenges and I can only imagine the work that goes into it.
Congratulations on your most recent achievement of getting Undra underway and back on the water. Now you are off and running. Time for a Sundowner! A virgin one for me or a Ben & Jerry's pint! Best. 🙂
You should head up north towards Norway by way of the Channel, then come back down through the North Sea into the Atlantic on your way to the Mediterranean. Never saw you do that on the 'sails'.
That is crazy
25:59 'plumbers' ran the bungled watergate break-in. screw ups all-round;)
Pure gold, as always.
Love this episode! So much going on, but you both share the positive side and that results in good vibes 😊. I’m sure there are plenty of moments that are not as pleasant and you don’t choose to share them, but I trust you roll with them and keep moving ahead. As we say here in Taiwan, 加油!
Thanks for sharing, enjoying following the proces over here. Greetings from Lemmer
So glad you’re back up and running, that gyro is amazing! Can’t wait to have you over here in the U.K. whereabouts are you heading?
Just a random query as I did follow since the days that you got this new vessel from the auction, but wondered why you both did not go with a Trawler such as a Nordhavn 55 or 57 or did you feel that something similar would not check the boxes for your planned high latititude cruising ? Thanks ..nice epiisode on the gyro install
will you be coming to Ireland ?
🙌🏼🙌🏼Congratulations!🙌🏼🙌🏼
Make sure to stop by at Dartmouth on your way through the English Channel, guys! It's a beautiful spot and home of the Royal Naval College too!
Waiting for perfect is how boats become dock queens.😅Thanks for being a part of this huge transition with us! 🌊Go to https://surfshark.com/wynns or use code WYNNS at checkout to get 4 extra months of Surfshark VPN.
