Do you use a Schengen calculator app to keep track of your days? If so, which one?
I just left Moldova yesterday! can't believe I might have crossed paths with legendary Gabe without knowing it.
I've never seen Gabriel stay in the same place for 10 days straight!
Tourists don't flock due to bad marketing. We chose Croatia and Slovenia, never considered other countries in the area. I guess everyone talks about Croatia, not so much Moldova.
I liked Moldova. Cheap, food was good, nice churches. I love old Soviet architecture. People were all genuine and nice. Just a tip, I had a hard time getting rid of my Moldovan money when I left. People didn’t want to exchange it. Could always go to Transnistria, a little cliche, but still worth a visit.
no one visits because it's part of a Seinfeld skit?
I could tell you the main reason as an American why would never want to travel there. It looks like anytown, USA, very car centric with those wide loud noisy roads. And huge parking lot. No character at all that doesn’t look like you’re in Europe. it’s probably a good place for people that wanna get out of the Schengen zone for a little bit. And it looks like it’s good for dentist appointments, but that’s about it.
Also, I’m interested if there’s any international trains that go there?
Technically, Mypos is the least traveled European country 😆
saludos
they are not any American actresses . saludos
I have heard of Moldova but admit I know very little about it. That’s about to change! Chisinau at least has beautiful churches and lots of green spaces to enjoy. Always great to see less visited countries. Hope your dental appointment went well. Enjoy your health spa visits. 👍❤️
I know that in Romania they speak French maybe it's the same in Moldova?
Looks like Moldova is what Romania was 5-7 years ago. The tourists will come eventually when the infrastructure is upgraded and the tourism bureau does its job. My travels now really favor the places that are not yet over-touristed, and those places are getting fewer by the day.
I visited about 2 years ago. It was a beautiful experience. I recommend anybody going there. Safe, cheap and quiet.
Also, if you are there for that long check out La Placinte. It’s a Moldovan restaurant chain. Authentic food for locals. Good food and great prices. Serves breakfast too. When I’m vacationing I like to go to different places, but I went back there several times.
Love you journey ❤️ 💛
That's really pity for lack of tourists. It looks very European like Paris or Berlin. It was hard to guess that you are in Moldova without seeing signs.
Albania next? Supposedly growing as an expat location…
Thank you for this video. I agree with the five reasons why nobody visits this country. Yet, Moldova has its authentic vibe. It is essential that you present a specific country and as a rule, we like it.
Welcome to Moldova, Gabriel! I was born and raised here and I am glad it finally gets the recognition it deservers as the hidden gem of Eastern Europe.
Gabriel, will North Macedonia be on your return list while you need to be out of the Shengen zone?
*moldovan lei not romanian 😂
Gabe how the heck you have so much energy to travel all the time? 😅 I mean I would dying having flights, delays, hotel stays and so one…
Always appreciate the off the beaten path destinations
WIZZ Airline – Man, I took this Airline from Warsaw, it was a rough ride . The seats made my back hurt , so it want be a option next time . However, it was very cheap .
You and Bald should do a video together would be great
City of sirens lol must be hard to promote tourism when there’s really nothing to see
The monastery you show at the beginning is so nice !
It looks like a nice clean quiet country with Eastern Block Architecture. Hope your teeth cleaning goes well 😊
Hi Gubriel , I just calculate Birthdate of Vladimir Putin, he born 1952,you said 2019 you were there, when Putin celebrate his 50th anniversary, but it’s not correct,2019 putin. 67 years old now his 74 ,
I definitely remember Bald's visit, I watched that, the weather was overcast and the place looked so gloomy. Your visit presents a different vibe of Chisnau.
"România Mare – în vechile hotare !
/ Chișinău – 27 martie 1918 / Cernăuți – 28 nov.1918 /"
Cu toată Basarabia istorică re-unită, de la Hotin la Nord la Cetatea Albă la Sud.
We, Moldovans,
we want Re-Unification with our historical motherland – Romania Mare,
/ as of votation of 27 March 1918 /
to escape RuSSian occupation and RuSSification/slavization of our local population.
Hope you can visit Bălți. So little information about tourism in that city.
The swimming pool you are talking about in Reykjavik is probably publicly funded, as a service to the residents of the city?
To anyone in Europe who likes a good city break i would recommend a combined trip to Bucharest and Chisinau and to use the overnight sleeper train for a great experience. A week would be a good start, If you like Budapest , Bratislava and Lisbon etc you will not be disappointed, We are back home in Scotland 10 days now and have nothing but incredible memories of a fantastic trip.
