US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has been making strides in the Middle East, particularly in Syria, as he seeks to establish a united approach in stabilizing the war-torn country. One of the key players in this goal is Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a prominent rebel group in Syria.
HTS has recently made promises to work towards a more stable and peaceful Syria, which has caught the attention of many observers. The group, which was formerly known as Al-Nusra Front, has a complicated history with ties to Al-Qaeda, but has since distanced itself from the terrorist organization.
While HTS’s promises may seem promising on the surface, there are lingering concerns about the group’s true intentions and commitment to lasting peace. Many are skeptical of HTS’s ability to fully adhere to its promises, especially given its murky past and ongoing conflicts with other rebel factions in Syria.
In order for Syria to truly stabilize, it will be crucial for all parties, including HTS, to work together towards a common goal of peace and security. As Secretary Blinken continues his efforts in the region, it remains to be seen whether HTS will prove to be a reliable partner in the quest for stability in Syria.

Greetings from Syria ❤️
People keep forgetting that "rights" usually do not include food, housing and jobs in most capitalist countries. Americans and Europeans perhaps take these things for granted. But HTS really dont have to do anything overt to "discourage" the minorities from staying in Syria. When resources run low, minorities tend to be the first on the menu.
It all depends on what Israel has plans for Syria. They will surely want the total airspace control for any future endeavours 😢
Golani should be appointed UN human rights commissioner
Kurds shall be free… Kurds shall be free… Kurds shall be free. Enough of tyranny, enough of genocides, persecution against Kurds…Without Kurds getting their God-given rights, there will not be peace and justice neither in the middle estate nor in the world. Stop marginalizing Kurds, stop turning a blind eye to the Kurds…
Colonizer must stay away from Syria.
Saying HTS is a beacon of democracy is like saying biden can run up the stairs without stumbling.
Palestinians have been struggling for a long time, Turkiye and HTS didn't lift a finger to help the resistance.
Events in Syria are not about democracy or human rights, it's about US, Turkish and Israeli interests.
HTS allowed Israel and Türkiye to invade Syria without offering any resistance
