"you got games on your phone?"
So there are 2 little animatronic tortoises. One that the chimp engaged with where the lens is visable, 1min 24s in. And then one that they play with for B roll footage? The one the chimp has is clearly different from all the b roll shots of it upside down, walking etc.
I love how they went to all the effort to make it look like a real tortoise, but the chimps instantly saw it as a fake and it became basically a remote control toy. 😂

Curiosity, possessiveness and society
I would do the exact same thing. I would adopt it and care for it. I probably wouldn’t use it as a weapon though😅
What a delightful video. Bravo, BBC.
Now, when current humans are extinct and these chimps evolve into future humans, they will tell one another stories of how a mechanical tortoise was among them..

I too adopted a tortoise, 35 years ago, I found walking down the middle of a street; And I too am a knuckle dragger from what I'm told.
Aliens have deployed fembots among the human population and are also surveilling us. Imagine the horrors they've seen.👁👄👁

I don't think the chimps are buying the "disguises" of your spies.
He drags his new pet by the neck and later wallops a rival with it like in a pillow fight 😅😬😂. Thankfully spy tortoise is made of sturdy stuff
