According to Vancouver police, the suspect, a 30-year-old local resident, drove into the festival from East 43rd Street, becoming the lone occupant of the vehicle involved in this devastating act. Interim Chief Constable Steve Rai clarified that while the suspect remains in custody, investigators do not currently believe this act to be one of terrorism.
